Coming off a disappointing five-win season, third-year UTSA basketball head coach Austin Claunch has assembled a 15-man roster for 2026-27 that includes 14 newcomers, with nine players incoming from NCAA Division I programs.

The Roadrunners have been announcing new additions to the team since last November when guard Naz Price of Katy Seven Lakes High School signed in the early period.

Spring signings opened in April with transfer point guards Josiah LeGree from Morehead State and KJ Tenner from Murray State. The list as a whole was made public on the athletics department website last week.

Sophomore guard Dorian Hayes is the only returner from last year’s team that went 5-25 overall and 1-17 in the American Conference.

Among the Roadrunners’ newcomers with Division I backgrounds, two of them — guards Isaiah Coleman and Isaiah Watts — bring extensive experience at the highest level of Division I.

Coleman played at Oklahoma State in the Big 12 last season following two years at Seton Hall.

The 6-6 guard has played 96 games in his career, highlighted in 2024-25 at Seton Hall of the Big East when he led the Pirates in scoring at 15.6 points per game.

Watts, meanwhile, competed in 2025-26 at Maryland in the Big Ten. Previously, he spent two years at Washington State. Watts has played in 86 games in three seasons.

Tenner, a high-scoring guard in high school at Memphis, averaged 13 minutes in 30 games as a freshman at West Virginia of the Big 12 in ’24-25.

He moved on to play 33 games in mostly an off-the-bench role at Murray State last season.
